    Objective: Conduct a comprehensive study on the utilization and provider payment practices for individuals over 65 enrolled in various insurance plans in Connecticut, including Medicare Advantage and Fee-for-Service Medicare.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a statistical protocol, including methods and hypotheses, and prepare CMS and Connecticut All-Payer Claims Database (APCD) data for analysis.
    • Protect intellectual property by creating, updating and monitoring data integrity within an aws s3 bucket
    • Conduct descriptive, comparative, and regression analyses to examine utilization patterns, costs, and the impact of utilization management practices.
    • Analyze claims denials, appeals, and prior authorizations to assess their influence on utilization and payment practices.
